Our History

The Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse (CPTCSA) began its services in February 1995 to fill the gap in services concerning the sexual abuse of our children. We began with two full-time professionals, one part-time professional, and one part-time support staff. We focused on one school as a pilot for both prevention and treatment services. Today we are staffed with seven full-time professionals and support staff, and have designed and provided prevention curricula for schools and agencies, and designed and provided treatment services for groups and individuals within schools and agencies around the country. We have also provided major training for professionals involved with children, with a focus on schools, social service agencies, and churches. The CPTCSA is licensed by the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD), recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) and a member of The National Council of Social Development, and International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
